Quasi-Drugs
Japanese Quasi-Drugs lie between pharmaceuticals and cosmetics classification, which has been approved by The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare after a strict check of quality, effectiveness, and safety by the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.
They are defined as quasi drugs, because they contain a certain concentration of ingredients and has a higher effect and efficacy. It can be marketed as “whitening effect” and “acne prevention” on the products packages, advertisements, and promotional materials.
